Press Release:
Round 7 of the British Supersport Championship proved to be a challenging weekend for Hudson Kennaugh and the Linxcel-Seton Tuning race team.
The team headed to Mallory Park with a fresh set of engine modifications that would fix problems encountered during the previous round at Knockhill, but the weekend just didn’t workout as intended.
Team manager Phil Seton:
“We went to the circuit with good intentions to fix the problems we had at Knockhill but something was just missing all weekend. We seemed to battle with everything. As a result, we couldn’t get any good times in and so we qualified down in 22nd, which just isn’t good enough for us.
The race didn’t go much better with Hudson pulling out on lap 5.
All we can do is regroup and formulate a plan for Brands Hatch, which takes place in three weeks time. Traditionally, we’ve always had good results at Brands so hopefully we can get more of a positive outcome from there.”
Hudson Kennaugh:
“This weekend was a real challenge and despite the team’s best efforts, it just got away from us. Phil and the team have been moving the earth and then some to get the bike working well for me so it’s tough when things don’t work out. Still, we’ll take it on the chin and be back at Brands at the front-end of the pack in a few weeks."
The Linxcel-Seton Tuning team will be at Brands Hatch for round eight of the British Supersport Championship on Sunday 9th August.
The Linxcel-Seton Tuning would like to extend their gratitude to the following companies for their support in the 2009 season.
