European Expansion for Santa Cruz High Performance Electric Motorbike Manufacturer

Zero Motorcycles today announced the expansion of its European sales and marketing operations with a new European headquarters in Amsterdam from which all three models (Zero S, Zero X & Zero MX) will now be available.

Heading up the European operation will be Edwin Belonje – appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing, Europe, who will oversee all European operations and mange newly signed Independent Representatives in the UK, Germany, France, Austria, Italy & Spain. As part of the expansion into Europe, Zero has also appointed three European PR agencies to promote and build localised brand awareness.

“After the incredible response Zero received in Europe, we realised the importance of making our motorcycles easily accessible to the European market,” said Neal Saiki, inventor and founder of Zero Motorcycles. “We offer the perfect solution to all the Europeans who love motorcycles, innovation, and the environment.”

Zero Motorcycles began selling into Europe in 2006 and subsequently experienced a rapid growth in demand. Starting immediately, they are offering their full product line in Europe with marketing and sales support. Customers can now contact local representatives for test rides in their area on any of Zero Motorcycles’ high performance products.

John Lloyd, Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Zero Motorcycles:
“Edwin is a seasoned executive with over ten years of experience at Triumph. As their previous General Manager, he understands the European motorcycle market exceptionally well, which will enable him to lead Zero Motorcycles expansion forward successfully into the diversity of the European market.”

About Zero Motorcycles

Zero Motorcycles is the next step in motorcycle evolution and represents the ultimate electric motorcycle technology. Unencumbered by conventional thinking about how they design, manufacture, and sell high performance electric motorcycles, they are on a mission to turn heads and revolutionize their industry by combining the best aspects of a traditional motorcycle with today’s most advanced technology. The result is an electric motorcycle line that’s insanely fast and environmentally friendly.

Zero Motorcycles first entered the motorcycle category with the launch of the 2008 Zero X electric dirt bike. Exceeding all expectations, the Zero X sold out in late 2008 and blazed the path for the long awaited launch of the Zero S Supermoto motorcycle.
