Press release:

Releases more power by eliminating the catalytic converter and can be used in conjunction with Yoshimura or standard cans.

The Suzuki GSX-R1000 K9 Racing Mid Pipe from Yoshimura Japan increases machine performance by allowing riders to remove the stifling catalytic converter – required by manufacturers in order to meet strict EU emission standards.

By removing the ‘cat’ the engine is able to breathe more easily by allowing combustion gasses a more direct route through the exhaust system – a similar practice to when less noise-restrictive race cans replace standard items.

Crafted from stainless steel and tipping the scales at just 750g, the Racing Mid Pipe weighs an incredible 2.95kg less than the standard item.

Though the Racing Mid Pipe can be used with the K9’s standard end cans, greater performance gains throughout the rev range can be found by using it in conjunction with the wide range of Yoshimura race or EEC Road legal (removable baffles) cans available for the GSX-R1000 K9.

Priced at £256.68 the Yoshimura Racing Mid Pipe is available now.

Contact 01782 569800 or visit www.phoenixnw.co.uk to find your nearest Yoshimura dealer.
