Press release: The sunshine is booked for the 5th round of the VISK British Superbike Championship this weekend at Snetterton in Norfolk.
The summer schedule is shaping up after the 2 week siesta since the last round at Thruxton, for many teams the TT races slotted into the calendar but for the Rob Mac Racing teams it was more work and testing on with the new Yamaha R1.
Chris Walker and Graeme Gowland had a very valuable test at Cadwell last week on the Motorpoint Hendersons Yamaha and feel that Snetterton may be the next step up for them both.
The new parts and new settings gave both riders much more confidence and feeling and hopefully that will reflect with results come Sunday.
Joining the Rob Mac Racing squad as a replacement for Michael Rutter will be John Kirkham; John shares the red side of the garage with Dan Linfoot on the North West 200 Coca Cola Yamaha R1 and R6 respectively.
John will jump in at the deep end as he will only ride his bike for the first time on Friday morning but he is more than confident of settling into his new team.
Dan Linfoot has to be the find of the year, flying the flag for the North West 200 Coca Cola team he has a 100% podium record so far this season and is looking like he can fight for the championship in the Supersport category.
The Snetterton circuit is one of the fastest of the season and with the strong field in this year's championship the race battles are going to be ruthless!
The Rob Mac Racing riders are looking forward to being very much part of the action.
