Suzuki's SFV650 Gladius and Yamaha's XJ 600 Diversion have been praised by the motorcycle press for their ease of use and all round ability. Now luggage manufacturer Ventura are offering an equally user-friendly and versatile carrying solution, for those looking to capitalise on their commuting and touring capability.

Ventura's Aerodynamic Bike-Pack is a light, stable and versatile luggage package offering huge carrying capability yet adding minimal weight. Carrying the luggage clear of exhausts and rear wheel, Ventura’s tailor-made rack system ensures the load will not shift, even during hard riding. Positioning the pack directly behind the rider offers excellent stability and less wind resistance compared to traditional pannier systems - a plus point for slim, middleweight machines. The Bike-Pack may also be mounted behind the pillion seat, allowing two-up riding.

Mounting is easy as Ventura base the system around two discreet L-brackets - custom-made for each machine - and fitting the bag couldn't be simpler or quicker; when luggage needs to be carried, the Pack Rack slots into the L-brackets, then slide the pack of choice onto the rack.

A broad range of Pack sizes are available (from 35 to 102 litres, depending on pack/combination), offering multiple solutions for commuting, solo weekends away or two-up touring. The systems pictured feature L-brackets (£97.75), Pack-Rack (£46.24) and 51-litre capacity Spada Pack, (black, red or blue at £99.20). Total cost = £243.19. If no luggage is required, the Pack and Rack can be removed in seconds and replaced with a Grab Handle (£19.99) or Sport Rack (£40.73), leaving the bike completely uncluttered.
