Press release:

With just three weeks to go, the motorcycle line-up at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed (3-5 July) is stronger than ever with a selection of famous Grand Prix, current World Superbike and significant Endurance Racing machines on show.

The rider line-up is equally special with no less than five multiple World Champions set to attend.  Seven-time World Champion John Surtees, seven-time World Champion Phil Read, five-time 500cc World Champion Michael ‘Mick’ Doohan, four-time 250cc World Champion Max ‘The Roman Emperor’ Biaggi and two-time World Superbike Champion Troy Corser will all demonstrate the impressive riding skills that took them to the top of the world in their respective fields over the Festival weekend.

They will, however, have the young guns Brits to contend with in the shape of 125cc Grand Prix race winner Scott Redding, front runner Danny Webb, current 125cc World Championship leader Bradley Smith, current World Supersport Championship leader Cal Crutchlow and World Superbike Championship contender Leon Haslam, all of which are set to attend the biggest celebration of motor sport history in the world, the Festival of Speed.

The wealth of British talent is at an all time high in the sport and it looks set that another British World Champion will be crowned in the coming years.  The Festival of Speed is the best place to get up close and personal with our home-grown heroes and offer your support in their quest for world domination.

Many other famous names from the world of motorcycle racing are also set to attend, including WSB and Grand Prix race winners Carlos Checa, Garry McCoy and Makoto Tamada, TT winners Tommy Robb, Chas Mortimer and Charlie Williams and former British Superbike Champions Terry Rymer and Darren Dixon, amongst many others.
