Keith Amor, possibly the fastest Scot on 2 wheels, showed what he's made of in the Irish Superbikes at Kirkistown circuit - winning both Superbike races, plus 1 win and a second place in the Supersport races - and a to cap it all winning the main feature race at Bishopscourt, the Enkalon Trophy.Running his new 2009 LeoVince equipped Honda CBR1000RR on his first serious outing this year, the young Falkirk rider became the very first Scotsman to win the Enkalon Trophy since the Trophy race began 33 years ago! A fantastic start for the '09 season for Amor, who had a hurried start to the season with just enough time to fit the new LeoVince race exhaust system, plus a couple of sponsor Wilson Craigs decals, said "It's been a mega weekend and I'm really happy with the results - ten wins out of ten would have been great but I can't be greedy! I only picked up the Superstock machine on Thursday and only just made it to the circuit in time for practice on Thursday but it ran brilliantly. I never changed a thing on it, not even the position of the handlebars or footpegs, nor the gearing, so I couldn't be more happy with the performance of the '09 Honda." (credit Phil Wain).
LeoVince suppliers MOTO.GB UK Distribution said "Keith has great talent. Last year he showed what he could do on the older model CBR1000RR, and of course his superb win at Macau on a CBR600RR, but with new and better bikes this year we know he will do even better. We will be supporting Keith throughout the '09 season with LeoVince exhaust systems".
For 2009 season Amor will be competing in the NW200, TT, Ulster GP and more rounds of the Superbike and Supersport series.
