29 year old Belgian Motocross rider Sven Breugelmans is one of the most successful MX3 riders. The two time MX3 World Champion reached both titles as the member of the KTM JM Racing Team. Now the team has moved to the MX2 GP and he had to find the new team. For Breugelmans this will be the sixth year riding the KTM bike.

What did the new World Title bring you?

"After KTM JM Racing Team left the competition for the MX3 World Championship, I could find a new team in these difficult times. Maybe it was easier just because I got the World Champion Title last season. Of course I am very happy for the Title."

Which will be your new team in the season 2009?

"The name of my new team is KTM Sneltransport Pater. The team manager is Bert Pater. This is a new and young team from Netherlands, with support of KTM. I am really very happy that Pit Beirer will help us. Me and Patrick Roos will compete in the FIM MX3 World Championship. Kenny Vandueren will ride in the EMX2 European Championship."

How does your preparations look like? What are you doing at the moment?

"I was two weeks in Spain to practice with the moto. Beside this I have every day also trainings for the physical power. I have a wrist injury. But I will be ready for the first MX3 event."

What are your plans till the beginning of the season? Are you planning to compete in the Belgian Championship?

"No I will not compete in the Belgian Championship because my team is from The Netherlands. Before the start of the MX3 World Championship I will compete at some other international events."

Can you say something about your bike for the 2009?

"I will keep the suspension from last year. For the engine we have parts from KTM. We prepare my bike together with the team. At the moment I am still testing. My mechanic for this season is David Nilsson."

You will be in the smaller team than last season. Do you expect less pressure?

"I think the pressure will be the same. For sure I will go again in the fight for the title."
