Twenty One year old Michael Brown, aka ‘The Mighty Atom’, will be joining the world’s top riders for the opening round of the SPEA FIM World Indoor Motorcycle Trials Championship at Sheffield Arena on January 3rd 2009. The reigning European Trials Champion will be looking for success at his second appearance at Sheffield as he takes on British Number One, Dougie Lampkin, and 2008 Double World Champion, Toni Bou.

Scarborough born Brown, who narrowly missed out on first place in the British Trials Championship this year, will be tackling one of the toughest courses yet with some of the world’s biggest obstacles. Alongside Lampkin and Bou, Brown will also be facing stiff competition from world class riders Albert Cabestany, Jeroni Fajardo and Japan’s Takahishi “Fujigas” Fujinami as well as Adam Raga, who is a past Sheffield winner.

“For Michael this is a fantastic opportunity” says Neil Crosswaite “He rode here last year as a wild card and made it through to the main event. This year the FIM has recognised his ability and made him the chosen junior rider to contest all the World Championship rounds. This is great for Michael and British trials.”

Spectators will be entertained with non-stop action and suspense from start to finish as rider’s battle it out on a perilous course. To ensure you don’t miss the action, book your tickets now by calling 0114 256 5656 or visit sheffieldarena.co.uk. Tickets are priced at £29.50 for adults and £19.50 for children aged 14 and under.
