On Saturday 3rd January 2009 British No.1 and Yorkshire born Dougie Lampkin will take on Spain’s elite including reigning World Indoor and Outdoor champion Toni Bou, as they all battle it out to be crowned ‘King of Sheffield.’ Making its 14th appearance at Sheffield Arena the opening round of the highly competitive SPEA FIM World Indoor Motorcycle Trials Championship, will see non-other than four Spaniards standing in Dougie’s way of the crown.

The Spanish Armada will be coming to Sheffield boasting the four top five riders in the World. This is one crown Spain will be confident they can bring home. With Toni Bou, World No. 1, Adam Raga, current World No. 2 and a former Sheffield winner, competing alongside Albert Cabestany, World No. 3 and Jeroni Fajardo, will Britain’s No. 1 and local legend, Dougie Lampkin, be able to claim his ninth Sheffield crown?
Spectators will be entertained with non-stop action and suspense from start to finish as rider’s battle it out on a perilous course of the world's biggest obstacles.
