Our good friend Pete has had the number-plate on his R1 cloned by an unscrupulous individual who is now riding around all over London racking up a series of offences. It has been reported to the Metropolitan Police, who are currently investigating the matter.
The worst thing about all of this, is that this person is doing it in London, all the places where we ride frequently.
If you see a bike with this plate on it anywhere, please do the London biking fraternity a favour, and collect as much information as possible, i.e. bike type, colour, rider appearance, clothing, helmet colour, location, etc, and drop LB an email to the staff via the link at the bottom of this piece, and we will forward the information appropriately.
As luck (or not) would have it, Pete has been off the road since this episode started and for some of the time, been recovering in hospital, after his crash at Silverstone. This is therefore rubbing salt into his injuries and the person(s) concerned are obviously no friends of ours.
