The reigning Spanish Supersport Champion Graeme Gowland will make his return to Spain this weekend to compete in the final two rounds of the Spanish Championship with the Joe Darcey team which partnered him to his title success.

The British youngster who cut his teeth in the 2006 Virgin Mobile Cup will not be making a return to the Supersport class but will step up to the Formula Extreme category onboard a Honda Fireblade for the penultimate round at Valencia and the finale at Jerez the following week.

Although the majority of Gowland’s short career has been spent on a 600cc he has had success on a bigger capacity machine whilst competing in the World Endurance Championship for the British Phase One team in between his World Supersport commitments this year.

Graeme Gowland:

“I am really looking forward to riding for the Joe Darcey team again and even more so because it is on a 1000 so thank you to them for this opportunity.”

Graeme has yet to finalise his plans for 2009.
