New launches, giveaways, race personalities and more, in the Arai Entertainment Zone at the NEC Show. UK Arai importer, Phoenix, will launch the stunning new Arai RX-7GP at this year’s International Motorcycle Show at the NEC near Birmingham from 28th November to 7th December, 2008.

This truly special helmet will take centre stage on the Arai stand (2G60) with 19 designs, replicas and paint options on display. The RX-7 GP is the cutting edge definition of helmet safety, designed and built for riders that demand the very best in comfort, style and race-proven protection. All show visitors will have the opportunity to try on this new helmet plus enter a free competition to become the first person at the show to own one.

To complement the RX-7 GP, the Viper, Chaser and Tour-X3 models will all introduce new designs and colours and, for the first time, a specific ladies design will be offered for 2009.

Activity in the Arai sponsored Entertainment zone will focus on the main stage as competitions, interviews, games and celebrity appearances take place throughout the duration of the show. Arai will have their ‘Starz’ talk show at 12.00pm each day and Saturday 6th December will see Steve Parrish in fine form as he co-hosts a charity auction of Arai memorabilia with Randy Mamola and Keith Huewen. All money raised will go to Riders For Health, the MotoGP charity which provides motorcycle transport to medical staff in Africa. Check out www.whyarai.co.uk for a list of auction entries and, to add to the money raised on the day, Arai will present a cheque for £5,000 donated from the sales of Motorcycle News journalist, Michael Neeves’ replica helmet.

With helmet testing in the news at the moment, workshops will be held each day on the Arai stand to discuss helmet technology, testing and safety and customers will have the chance to put their questions to the helmet experts. In addition, John Wakefield, Phoenix’s MD, will be in action on the TWO Visordown stage offering general helmet advice and enjoying some banter with Jamie Whitham.

The Arai race service truck will be on Stand 2H75 with the British Superbike technical team on hand to inspect and service helmets and offer general fitting advice.

Sponsorship of the popular ‘Ride Out’ feature continues this year and show visitors will have the opportunity to try a helmet from the Arai range and experience the quality, comfort and fit as they ride the latest bikes out on the roads around Birmingham.

Everyone at Phoenix/Arai looks forward to meeting UK bikers, race fans and Arai customers at the 2008 International Motorcycle and Scooter Show.
