The Prof. racing suit Tattoo Ykz. combines the most innovative Dainese technology with an original, precious design. For the 2009 Motorcycle season, Dainese proposes the Tattoo Ykz. Prof. racing suit, an item that speaks a new language filled with ancient symbols and the values of yesterday’s warriors expressed through an innovative working of the leather.

The concept of Tattoo is centred around the art of tattooing, which is given the task of interpreting the style of the modern biker as it succeeded in expressing the spirit of valiant fighters centuries before in the past. Decorations that bring to mind ancient Samurai prints are combined with Maori patterns in light colours that leap out from the suit’s black background.

This unique design with sensational visual impact created exclusively for Dainese by the Australian artist Luca Ionesco is the product of a technologically advanced laser system that combines white kangaroo skin and Lorica in a single “sandwich”. The working and stitching process permits the creation of the tattoo effect on the Lorica on the outside that is literally “stripped away” to make the underlying designs emerge.

Craftsmanship and technological innovation merge in a combination adopted by D-Tech, the Dainese Research & Development Department, to explore unknown roads and create an absolutely original product..

Tattoo is a unique item made entirely in Italy, and produced in a numbered, limited series for those capable of appreciating the beauty in the working itself, the perfection of the mechanism, and the technologically advanced structure applied to a garment that becomes an ornament in itself. By registering the purchase of the garment online, each customer becomes a member of an exclusive club and as the first benefit of membership will receive a handsome booklet that illustrates the philosophy of the Tattoo Project: the concept of the aesthetics of technology.

Together with the booklet, members will also receive a cut of laser-treated printed with the Tattoo Prof. racing suit’s progressive number and his or her name.

The Tattoo suit is equipped with the same safety devices found in all the Prof. suits by Dainese: approved composite protectors and co-injected shoulder for maximum shock protection. Excellent mechanical, tear-resistant and anti-abrasion performance are guaranteed by the use of kangaroo skin in the laser engraved areas, while a double layer of cowhide offers suitable protection in the most stressed areas.

The ergonomics, a must in Dainese products, are the result of in-depth study of the dynamics of movements, patented biaxial elasticated parts work in synergy with the elasticated inserts on elbows and knees and the elasticated fabric inserts in the joint areas ensure Tattoo Ykz Prof.the maximum standards of comfort.

Dainese
