Trucklinks Yamaha rider Joe Dickinson, finished his Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship with an uncharacteristic finish outside of the points, in the season finale at Brands Hatch (12th Oct).

Joe had been on blistering form all weekend, finishing fourth fastest in free practice 2. A damp track in the early scheduled first Qualifying meant that Joe and a number of riders decided to sit out the session. The second qualifying session saw Joe on a hot pace until he crashed out unhurt but unable to rejoin the session.

With it all to do from 18th on the grid, Joe struggled to make any progress from the group of riders around him. After encountering some problems in the latter stages of the race, he dropped out of the top 20 to post his worst finish of the season.

Joe Dickinson:

"I don't really know what to say. I was having a really good weekend until I crashed out in the second qualifying. That left me down in 18th on the grid and you always have your work cut out when you are starting from down there. I had a few problems in the race but it didn't really justify my finishing position,I'll write that one off. I'm in talks about returning to Supersport next year so lets see what happens then."

Rob McElnea, Team Principal:

"To be honest that was another disappointing race for Joe. He hasn't really shown the potential and capabilities of the package this year. It's been a frustrating time for the team as we know the bike is a championship contender."
