Rizla Suzuki's Tom Sykes and Atsushi Watanabe are determined to see the season out on a high as they come into the final round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship this weekend at Brands Hatch Indy circuit in Kent.

After Sykes’s thrilling ride at Silverstone from 17th on the grid to a third place podium finish he is more than up for another race win – and has not given up on second place in the Championship either. The undulating 1.1986 mile Indy circuit is set to challenge Sykes and his dexterous Rizla Suzuki. Each lap takes less than 50-seconds to complete so the action is set to be fast and frantic.

Double Japanese Superbike Champion Atsu is returning to the Kent venue for the second time and has track knowledge on his side. His 10th place finish at Silverstone has buoyed up both him and his Rizla Suzuki technicians. He is determined to conquer the arduous track and reward his team with two strong finishes.

Free practice takes place on Friday 19th October, with qualifying on Saturday 11th October at 1330. Racing commences at 1400 with race one that is followed at 1645 with race two, both will be broadcast live on Eurosport.

Jack Valentine, Rizla Suzuki Team Manager:

“This is the last round of the season and we are determined to put on a show for the Rizla Suzuki fans. Tom wants to win as it is the only way he can keep the pressure on for second place in the Championship. While there is still something to race for we will be pushing hard.

“Atsu wants to finish his debut season in BSB on a high and we have seen glimpse of what he is capable of - I hope he can pull something out of the bag as he has already raced at Brands. The Indy circuit isn’t ideal as back markers will be coming into play, but we have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I’m really looking forward to finishing the season with success.”
