Skidmarx have a long association with Kawasaki on the race track – they currently supply race screens to Team MSS Kawasaki in British Superbikes. Now the British bodywork manufacturer has developed a double bubble race screen for the ZX-10R’s smaller sibling, the Ninja 250R.
Skidmarx screens are manufactured by hand in the UK from 3mm acrylic, as this material gives them the flexibility to create a variety of shapes and sizes to suit the requirements of top race teams. Two versions are produced for the Ninja 250R – standard size, which is similar to the original but available in clear, tint or coloured options and a double bubble, modelled on the race screens. Both are designed to replace the original item using the existing mounting points and fasteners. Prices start at £39.95 for the standard and £49.95 for the bubble.
Matching Skidmarx headlight covers are also available, offering protection to valuable light units from stone chips and road debris. Formed from 3mm acrylic to follow the complex shapes of modern light units, they are held securely in place with Scotch Lock fixing pads and retail for £19.50.
For the opposite end of the Ninja 250R, Skidmarx produce a rear hugger that bolts directly to existing mounting points and includes an integral chain guard. Manufactured in the UK from GRP glass fibre, the Ninja hugger weighs approximately 600 grams and comes in black at £69.95 inc. VAT. There is also carbon fibre option, at approximately half the weight of GRP, costing £129.95.
