This bike is beautiful, but I think Ducati made a huge mistake by putting such cheap and ugly plastic on the engine sides. Why not Carbon Fiber?

is the open clutch and termis standard tho? not cheap to get those bits - carbon fibre piece wont be much cost for a ducatisti. doubt it'll put many people off

This isn't a stock bike, no. It's a show-case for their aftermarket parts. A lot of manufacturers were doing it this year. Most of the Japanese factories have teamed up with big brands to make certified after-market accessories. The car world has done this for ages, I'm surprised the bike world hasn't done it before now. It makes insurance and warranty all the better. Must make dealers happier as well.

A lot of show exhibitors were sitll putting last-minute mods on bikes in the morning from what we saw. Especially Honda, but then they seem to be 25% of the show near enough.
