The fifth Superbike World Championship round of the 2006 season takes place this weekend at Silverstone, in the Northamptonshire area of England. LB are on hand to provide coverage. With the qualifying done the day before, Sunday is reserved just for racing. The Superstock 1000cc and 600cc races went before the main event, the SBK races. Race one saw a huge set of crashes in the first lap with both Alex Barros and Troy Corser losing it. The race was red-flagged which meant many teams brought their riders in, including Ducati who changed clutches to ensure a strong re-start and twenty minutes later the race was re-started where a full-on race was had with Troy Bayliss winning it and home-boy James Toseland coming in third to get on the podium after dispensing with a fast Rueben Xaus.
