Another really hot evening, drawing us out into the City heat. There was a great turn-out this week again, though unfortunately there was a sad undertone to this evening as the community lost a member in a road accident this week. The community was so upset and wanted to show their support to the loved ones he leaves behind so we had a condolence book made up for everybody to sign. Donations were also taken for the family.

The meet is never dull and this week was no different, this time we were treated to a 'celebrity' appearance when somebody brought down a Ducati Desmosedici RR MotoGP replica bike. These bikes are more exclusive than you can believe. There are just 1500 made and they all sold out on the day they became available. At £40,000, they are worth every penny considering the specification and when you consider a MotoGP bike costs millions of pounds. It's a once in a life-time opportunity to own a MotoGP bike, and one that's legal for use on the road! It sounded like Ducati had worked out how to cram a dozen devils into the engine, with them screaming out of the exhausts. Insane sound! It sent shivers up my spine! Beautiful!

As usual, if you do come down next week (and please do), please remember that the success and longevity of the meet depends on our behaviour, and as we all represent each other please don't make excessive noise by rev'ing engines or doing any tricks. Save that for elsewhere please! Please also remember to park on the left-hand side, nose in to keep fumes out of the shops. See you there next-week!
