Description
Recently announced was that LB will be using Focused Events as their official trackday partner, with two events planned first off. The first one was an evening trackday at Brands Hatch, on the Indy (short) circuit. Due to the short-notice given on the event, only a handful of members were able to book before the event was sold-out.
Chilled'n'Sorted, Leggy Pete, JohnnyBravo, Andrew&7, Kao5, Foxy and Jay were booked to go on track, with Chuffster, Storm in a D-Cup, Leggy Pete's dad and R1Fan popping down to view the event. On track with the gang was LB member, 'B', who's also the Senior Instructor for Focused Events, to help with any advice and make sure everyone got along well.
The evening started well with goood weather giving a not too hot, and dry conditions. After the saftey briefing, everyone returned to their bikes and geared up, ready for three sighting laps with the instructors, before pulling back in to the pit-lane and being let back out again to complete the first of three 20 minutes sessions that evening.
The evening was going well until the unfortunate happened and a collision occured on track with Foxy and another nameless rider. Foxy was removed from her bike and thrown down the track. She got up and rode the bike away, but her leathers and helmet suffered considerable damage, as well as her bike. The other rider stayed on, but failed to do the gentlemanly thing and come and speak to Foxy about it after to give his version of events and an apology, instead he hid behind his friends and let them talked for him when he was found.
Despite this, a good time was had by the rest, a good first trackday of the year. The next trackday is a whole day, and evening at Silverstone, on the GP circuit in June.
