The 21st of August saw another newbie meeting at The Ace Café for Londonbikers. There was an even better turn out this time - several new members came along to say hello and quite a few oldies came too.
The Ace staff suggested we take over the area near the stage, where we could push all the tables together to fit everyone in, this was handy as we could then use the stage for our gear. We introduced some of the newbies to the gentle art of Ginger baiting, ate the Ace out of Nachos and "admired" the French, Classic & Performance cars. (No those three words definiltely do not go together!
Attempts were made to introduce people but as some of the oldies didn't know each other it got very confusing. Joe was easily identified because he came up to moi (Weaver) and said he was presenting himself for his slaps (see various threads re the reason for this). Trojan also made it this time though unfortunately without his kilt.
Dan, Hamsterbiker, RedOne, AbbeyJ, Ginger, Flatout, Adam H & Westie were again there to welcome the newbies and Blade made it also - well done Blade for braving the North Circular when you've only been back on the bike a week or so! Lady P made it down from Peterborough so I finally got to meet her plus also Samantha complete with new baby too! The Quiet One was also there though she kept dodging the camera!
Newbies included Oggyplonk, Ian, Ray (I think he's a newbie?), Keti who's a relative newbie, Christoph H, and a couple who's name I never got! Many apologies if I have missed anyone out - perhaps I should take a register next time!
Another very good night - we will definitely have some more. Apologies for the poor quality of pics this time folks - note to self - must try harder in future!
