Description
The sun was out, the wind had dropped and the urge to go out on the bike got stronger, off to the Ace Café it was. It was ‘Twist and Chav’ day today at the Ace, so it was ram packed with scooters and the next generation of stunt riders, all wanting to show their stunts off. It was by no means a boring day, with the inevitable waiting to happen. The general atmosphere of the place was good, with only one accident involving a scooter.
It was a little later in the afternoon when a woman decided it would be a good idea to go and show off her riding skills out on the road with the boys. In five inch stilettos, no helmet, no protective clothing and no gloves, barely touching the floor she wobbled out of the car park and onto the road. She made it round the round-a-bout, started revving the R1, let the clutch out and high-sided down the road. An ambulance and the police were called to the mess in the road; the scene was cleared quite quickly. After the police left, a couple of the lads went out and played briefly, just another Sunday at the Ace Café.
