Description
As the season draws to a close and the rideouts fall few and far between, LB member flatout decided that Sunday October 8th would be a call to arms, the final chapter of the 2006 "flats coastel rides". So the date was set, the names went down and 35 people decided to ride, with the first meet at the Ace and the second at boxhill. After waiting for the stragglers we got underway, the sun was out, the faces had smiles, so off to Portsmouth we went riding.
Down the A24, A29. A272, A286, and finaly the A27, the main hub of the route took us through the South Downs for a fantastic ride, only having one wrong turn!!! we used the Corner Man system for a safe and faultless ride down. Once into Portsmouth we headed to the coast for tea; burgers and hot sugared donuts, and of course arcades. No fun fair this time as it closed the previous week, then after a small amount of confusion we rode out of the town, up onto the surrounding hills to a pub with a fantastic view over the harbour where we had a few drinks and some more food before saying our good byes and making our way home.
Thanks to all that attended it was a great day.
