Description
I have to say that I have been lost on my trips abroad many times before but, somehow I always managed to get somewhere nice and picturesque. Well doesn’t it all feels that way when you are on a holiday? This time things went better than expected.
After a wrong turn and have not listening to my wife’s directions I had only one thought on my mind “I will now hear “I told you so” for the next 200km back home”, when I spotted a huge sign with a motorbike on it. “Vall de Guadalest Historic Vehicle Collection”. Getting nearer I could see that it was motorbike museum. What a joy!!!! I left the wife on a souvenir type of shop nearby it and went to an incredible trip to the motorbike past.
After more than 25 years of work, repairing and restoring motorbikes and microcars, Ricard Fracés open his museum’s doors in order to make visitors do a trip back in time and get to know their ancestor’s vehicles.
The Vall de Guadalest Historic Vehicle Collection is about 15 miles into the interior from Benidorm. There you will be able to contemplate a collection of about over a 100 bikes from the 20's to the 70's and a few "microcars". It's an interesting spot for the enthusiast and the countryside round about is well worth a look.
Visitors will find a spacious garden and a wide car park area.
The premises are complemented with El Riu restaurant, with more than 25 years of experience and the El Riu kiosk, where you will find many typical products. I truly recommend you to pay a visit to this great bike museum.
My apologies but I hadn’t a pen or a paper on me or nearby so I could take notes of each bike and it’s details for you. Well, the truth is that the souvenir shop that my wife was wasn’t that big so, I had time only for the photos. You can get more details on the museum’s webpage bellow.
