Excellent.  Thanks for sorting this.

I'll only be able to do the 31st, and that's IF I can get my summer holiday dates shifted a little (we were due to come back on the 31st, but if we can shift the whole holiday a few days earlier then I'd happily do it coz I really want to do a m/c control day).

Will talk to my boss on Monday when she's back at work....

OK.

Update on the date.  We are going for Monday 25th August -  its a Bank Holiday.

Apologies for those that will be taking a long weekend break and hard earned rest, but if the day is as successful as we all hope then we will run another later in the year.

Start time will be 0930 and we should be finished by about 1400.  There will be a mid-session break for light refreshments etc.

Cost:  We will ask for a voluntary contribution of £10.  However, if having sampled the skills that you can learn as an Advanced Rider and you wish to enrol by purchasing a "Skill for Life" Package (£109) we will deduct £10 from the upfront cost - meaning you only pay £99.

Venue will be Gallions Reach Shopping Centre in Beckton, in the car park beind the Tesco filling station.

Can those that wish to confirm attendance PM me with their contact details together with any further information you may require.

This day is nearly upon us, and we are looking forward to your attendance and company for the day.

Can I ask that all those attending bring both proof of insurance and driving licence with you.  This is just to satisfy our Liability Insurance.

As a reminder the day will start promptly at 0930, so please try not to be delayed.  There will be a mid-morning refreshment break and lunch break.  However, if you have any medical/dietary requirements please make your own arrangements.

We meet in the large car park behind the Tesco fuel station at the Gallions Reach shopping complex.  Just look for all the bikes

This is very much a NO PRESSURE day.  If you want to sit out an exercise then advise your coach.

The event should conclude at about 1400.

My mobile contact for the day - should you have any problems - is 07775 960379.

What a top morning! I learnt a lot - mainly that I need to practise more!

ELAM-PR - please pass on my thanks to all your observers. A top team of very helpful observers.

Thanks also to the other LBers who added to the enjoyment.

I think I could have played on the final exercise all afternoon.....or at least until I got too confident and lowsided!

Thanks again

I thoroughly enjoyed that!  It was an ideal way to learn the capabilities of my new toy.

Again, many thatnks to Andrew and all ELAM observers who supported him.  Excellent coaching, and it was great to have different points made by several observers on each exercise.

I'll do a write-up soon.

A big "Thank you" to all the LBikers that came to Gallions Reach this morning to partkake of the Machine Control Day.

All the ELAM Observers were impressed by your willingness to learn and the progress that was made.  We all had a thoroughly good time and hope that we will be asked to run another event soon.

Thanks again for your support and hope you all got home safely.

I'll add my thanks and praise for all the ELAM guys and gals.

Despite my concerns about the black magic I think that I have learnt some of the basics and have actually started using it, although I am still nervous I will use it more.

Many, many thanks much appreciated that you took time out on a bank holiday.

Can only echo whats been said by the others involved, I had a great day.... A HUGE thanks to the ELAM observers who came out, i thought the session was most useful and particularly enjoyed the way it was structured.

I'll definately be in touch about the 'skills for life' package

The counter-steer has had me chuffed all day, even when about town i'm finally realising where i use it and where i don't......

Thanks again guys and gals!
