I see my post and subsequent thread about a known bike thief has been deleted, I assume by Admin?

I guess I can count the London Bikers out of supporting those of us (there are many) who wanted this known thief named and shamed?

Pity, as you are the one collective of bikers who are most affected by the reign of thefts carried out by this crew.

As far as I'm aware I broke no rules or laws, so it must be a forum policy issue.

I suggest that Admin also delete my angrybiker account.

Meanwhile here's a useful poster, copy it quick, while it lasts...

I nearly squealed with delight when I got home to receive this in the post, first class as well, I am flattered !!!!
(FYI my bike is left warming up for between 30 seconds and a minute in the mornings during which I don my helmet and gloves) ! :P

Computer problem

My laptop has started behaving oddly....The task bar disappears from the screen and I can do nothing other than hit the off button. When I do this a message about an unresponding program appears.:angry:

I have no idea what the program is or where it is but think it's the source of the problem.

Program shows as BrMfcWND.EXE

Anybody got any ideas on this?

My family were supposed to be flying home this afternoon but missed the flight by 5 minutes due to appalling traffic conditions in Budapest.

We had a fully comprehensive/no excess cover with AtlasDirect.net and when I phoned to find out what the procedure for claiming was, I was told there was no claim I could make as it was not covered...

They had left with an extra 2 hours in hand. Took them 110 minutes to do 5 kilometers. My wife managed to get the flights re-allocated with the Malev Office for £90, which is more than acceptable, but the insurance people were totally unhelpful, never mind that it took me 45 minutes to get through to them on the phone - 0870 number earning them money.:angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:

Back to Devon tomoz, another day trip there - 500 mile round trip. At least its gonna be good weather, just pissed off with doing the journey - I used to enjoy it as was usually the start of a holiday, now its a chore - hopefully this will be the last time for sometime, so will be free to enjoy some rideouts!

Took the bike instead of the car to work this morning. It was great! Been really f*****g annoyed lately with life crap.

Normally i would take the car, as traffic is any different in the car or bike (work out of london). However, all i can think about it is to just going on it and buggering off out of work!! I couldn't do this everyday, i might just actually do it.

Ever been there? I have, today. Round trip done in the same day and I'm knackered. Not on the bike though, in the car.

Have a m8 who moved back to America in May 2007 and left her daughter here cos the lass didn't want to go back. She's got some family here, but has adopted me as her big sis so I often get the texts and calls containing the usual....can I stay a few days? Can I borrow some cash? LOL! She's a great lass though and I'm glad she's taken the opportunity to experience life.

She was living here with her boyfriends family and Uncle. She admits to being lazy, only 17, and finds it hard to hold a job down when they start treating her like a slave and don't pay enough for the work she's doin....she just tells em to stuff it and walks.

Anyway, a m8 of her's over in Haverfordwest has 'T'd up a job for her in the area so she moved some stuff over 2 weeks ago but came back Tuesday to get the rest...me being a kind soul picked her up this morning with all her belongings and took her over to her new home then returned.....to say I'm knackered is an understatement....but I'd do just about anything for my family and friends and this is a good opportunity for her.

Good luck hinny! (Even though she'll never see this...LOL!)

I ask this as I am onto my second bottle of the irish stuff (started with Bushmills and am now half way through the Jamesons!) and, although quite drunk, am still unable to sleep due to my current state of mind! I've just finished 2 month's of hardcore working hours, almost non-stop, and am now wondering what everyone else drinks to wind down.... ;)

I'm not an alcoholic, as they go to meetings! :w00t:

Just interested in peoples preferences... :P

Pedestrian killed in collision with motorbike

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a pedestrian was killed in traffic collision with a motorcycle in Tower Hamlets.

At approximately 5:30pm on 22 August a Yamaha YZF collided with a pedestrian along West India Dock Road, E14.

The 54-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Men who use heated car seats may be putting their fertility at risk, according to research by scientists at the University of Giessen in Germany, which is reported in New Scientist.

They warn that the seats could damage sperm production by raising men’s temperature to unhealthy levels.

The study follows warnings that keeping a mobile phone in a trouser pocket for too long or extensive use of a laptop can also impact on fertility.

An optional temperature of 35-36C is needed to produce healthy sperm.

Scientists tested the effect of heated car seats on 30 healthy men. They were asked to sit on different types of car seats for 90 minutes.

The scientists said that on unheated seats the average temperature of the scrotum was 36.7C. But on the heated car seats one man’s rose to 39.7C, while the average was 37.3C.

Well it's ages since I posted anything, shockingly bad of me. Initially I got well cheesed off with two camera flashes (only at slow speeds), been busy with changing roles at work a couple of times, cycle racing (sorry for those that aren't keen on cyclists but trust me, racing is great fun and faster than you probably think) and settling in with the new gf.

GF has now done her CBT and today I passed my theory test today, yippppeee, and booked in for the big test etc in September.

Been missing the scene and the friends I made there. Hope you're all well and happy and to see you somewhere soon.

Life is just one big ball of busy-ness sometimes.:)

A really good friend of ours committed suicide today WHY! I just dont understand. Feel totally helpless, there is nothing we can do which just makes things worse. He started behaving strangly a few weeks ago, loads of our family and friends were checking on him, making sure he was feeling loved and looked out for, he just got so paranoid and I guess things just got too much. Another friend of ours broke into his house today, he knew he was in their, my Dad had spoken to him only a few minutes beforehand, he seemed really confused so my Dad asked our friend to go round and see him as he is stuck in Bristol on business, he found him hanged. WHY STEPH WHY

We never got the pleasure of riding out with you, it would have been mad but good good fun.

We will miss you so much, you will never be forgotten, love you you old 'Twydallite'

When I bought my current lid online a few months ago it sisn't show the back of it, which isn't the nicest !

Just back from 2 weeks in Kefalonia, Greece. Glorious sunshine everyday and 40 degrees in the sun. Hired a scooter and whizzed around in the heat to various beaches. Now today back at work, it's drizzling outside and I will not be able to get out on my bikey until the weekend after next (going on my first RAT run down to the IOW).

Feel like jacking my job, getting on my bike and spending the rest of the year riding through Europe to warmer climes. I am guessing this is normal? (only been riding bikes for 5 months..)
