Ken will do anything to get the elections stopped, they said on news that handing over can be put off for a little while.

The news is reporting thousands of homes without water becasue of this - including several thousand homes in SW London! fortunatly my bit of SW London doesn't get served by Thames Water.

Just went into work. They're pumping the basement out and most people have been told to work remotely. I think someone's going to end up with a very big bill... ;)

Any buildings that were flooded will have lost power and probably drinking water - it can take ages for things to dry out enough to allow the power back on safely.

Having spent 6 hours in Tooley Street yesterday, and seen first hand the state of the road after the water had gone away, I think the road will be shut for weeks.... a lot of the buildings with basements had to be pumped out by the Fire ~~brigade~~ service, and the water was knee deep at one point........ I had very soggy feet I can tell you:)

My girlfriend works in "More London" building and was also told by work not to come in.

she noticed that there has been water running down from the corner of Tooley for some days now.

On Friday she said she saw a lot of workers "fixing" the broken water mains-

obviously they didn't do a good job!! :w00t:

i would think that is prob information only your place of work can give you, would think anything below ground may be affected.

Wot i find funny is that bit of road was down to 1 lane anyway due to raod works and when i asked the workman who done it they said not us m8 it just went bang, lol. wot ya reckon? and yes they were working sunday morning.

Hmm... our garage entrace is opposite the restaurant in that last pic. Looks like that'll prolly be flooded out too. Doh! Can't help but grin tho.. :D

what do ya want to know?

no doubt some flooding will occur but all ya gonna find on the news/travel is about the roads.

This was about 9 this morning, i was on way to custom show.
anyway came out of monument tueb about about 8 this eve and london brisdge was solid cos they have closed tooley st off from london bridge prob down to tower bridge road.
