There must be something strange with my headshape but all of theirs fit me beautifully and far better than the likes of Shoei/Arai.
Question is I quite fancy the internal sun visor idea, but that'll mean an IS16 (£120) or FS10 (£130) but these only get 2* and 3* ratings in the Sharp test, whereas the "better" FG15 (£125) and HQ1 (£160) get 4* & 5* but don't have this function.

So given I'd be daft to ignore the main reason for having a helmet do I get an HQ1, or are the Sharp ratings not foolproof and overrated (as I've seen some negative press).

Appreciate any thoughts - Thanks :)

Rukka - worth it ?

I need a waterproof jacket and spent yesterday trying on 139 different jackets, or it felt that bad anyway  The only conclusion I came to was that almost none of them are designed for sports bike riders. If you ride a bike with high bars then you'll be fine. On a sports bike they crumpletoo much at the front and also push the helmet up at the back.

Rukka is very expensive, is it worth it ? Is it really that much better than anything else ? The armour in them feels pants compared to most others but they are a bit thinner than most and seem reasonably comfortable.

The Helvarssons safety jacket looks good too - anybody got one ?

Or perhaps somebody can recommend a good reasonably priced waterproof jacket that works on a sportsbike, is warm enough to use on the motorway in near freezing conditions and doesn't feel like a duvet rolled around you ?

Ladies Leathers - Arlen Ness

I'll be looking to get some new leathers in coming months and I have my heart set on Arlen Ness. Main reason is because i clean my current visor quite often on both inside and outside, and im not sure if i can drench the pinlock visor in warm water [as water will probably get inbetween the two visors]. Also if you can remove it, do you just chuck it in a pouch or something and reattach later?

Also one more question, i know the cheekpads are removable but the main lining isnt, so is there any way in which to clean it?

Thanks for any help!

I just tried stabbing myself

My new drag jeans are really really good!
There was no penetrating until my boss told me to fold the material, push the knife as far as possible, and see if the blade went through when you open the material again...and only the tip went through. I would like the assistance of the police.

Who's interested?

joe rocket knee sliders

anyone know where i get get some?

they look nice:

Leathers to tumble in

Hi All,

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

If you had to take a tumble in an off the peg leathers what make, model would it be?

I recently was hit from behind by a hit and run driver and broke my collar bone, 3 ribs, ankle, etc etc

I now need a new set and want to insure I’m in the very best kit (protection per £).

All thoughts welcome

Best regards

J

Hein Gericke oil

Ive been using Silkolene oil for the past few years but my local bike shop has switched to plutoline brand now , i was in hein gerickes the other day and noticed they sell their own brand oil and its quite a lot cheaper than silkolene, anyone had any experience with this stuff ?

Green high performance air filters

Anyone had any experience with these ? was going to go for a K&N but these are doing some deals at the moment .

http://www.greenfilterusa.com/
