yeah this had pushed the price out my limit. i think im going to wait another 6 months then get a second hand one!

specially when i can get a brand new 08 for 7500!

Once we all hear it with a proper exhaust system on bombing down the road/track, then we simply will not care at all what it looks like. Infact, even I'd be tempted! It sounds like a MotoGP bike from what I've heard so far and that is an instant seller.

When I said Yamaha should copy Honda with what they did with the Blade, I should've told them, copy everything, but don't watch the looks...Seen :D

It looks ok IMO...It should perform great and it sounds fantastic.

For a moment i considered the option of getting the 09 until i saw the pics! I really do not like what i am seeing, what a fat rear end. I'll stick with my 05 for now. BUT I will test ride one ;)

I'll reserve judgement till when I get to ride one.

For me, the bike of 09 is likely to be the V4 Aprilia....Can't wait to see that in the flesh.

I'm an avid Yam fan but i'm undecided wether to upgrade from my 07, maybe i should just buy a gixxer like everybody else :w00t: the thought send shiver down my spine :w00t::)

They've made a mess of it compared to the 08 model. It sounds nice but I don't think I'll be rushing out to buy one.

Have they announced a UK price yet?

Really suprised they kept the underseat cans. Was hoping for an R6 style stubby one!

Apparently, the Blade hasn't been selling that well in the US due to the looks.

The white one is pig ugly ... too similar to the new blade :crazy:

If that is the direction they are taking, then I'll be leaving the Yamaha camp ... scooters are looking good these days :hehe:

That's the pic I saw, you're right it does use the 08 blades exhaust, it also uses some of the current R1 side fairings, doubt if the production bike will look anything like that.
