Based about ten miles out from Central London, Brands Hatch is a dream circuit and one where we've had a few trackdays already. What we've done this time round though is to get the circuit for ourselves. Imagine that? All LB riders! Join us and have a great time!

Like anything LB does, the event is open to all riders, regardless of the bike or rider experience. We have the standard three group arrangement which means riders are seperated intro groups according to their experience of track riding (not road-riding). This means if you're an absolute novice or have never ridden on track but love the idea of the learning to control your bike better or to have more fun in a safer environment than the road, then you can come along and ride in the Novice group. More experienced riders are catered for in the Intermediate and Advanced groups.

We've had a glimpse of the weather to come this year already with some amazingly above-average warm and sunny days, so we're all hyped up for this day and can't wait to get back out to the track after a winter off! Come along, ride the track and enjoy the day with existing or new friends you'll make. Even if you can't ride or don't want to (huh?!) then you can come and be a part of the atmosphere as a spectator and be with the riders.

For booking or more information, hit the following MSV pages. The price is £145 (we don't make any money on this) for the whole day. As with any trackday, you need to book early to ensure a place. Placements go quick!

Booking details and discussion here:

http://londonbikers.com/forums/Topic313681-58-1.aspx

Flatout's Loopy Birthday Rideout

Another Flatout ride-out to celebrate Loopy's birthday. The venue is the plush Brook Green Hotelin Hammersmith, easily accessible by public transport (i.e., don't ride/drive!) and everyone is invited! It's a really, really nice venue and we're all hyped up for this. It's the third year we've done this and it's going from strength to strength. This year we've really pulled the stops out and will have a brill night!
Friday 21st December
Hammersmith
http://londonbikers.com/events/2007party/
As per previous years, we'll be doing an Awards ceremony so we can celebrate our individual brilliance and stupidity. It's all a top laugh and we're sure to have a great time with a fab location, fab food, fab music and all the rest of it. Tickets are £15 each, you can book through the page above, we encourage you to bring a friend/loved-one. There will be a buffet of great food (meat + veggie, and we've never run out before) and you can all dress up, or down, depending on your preference :)

If you don't normally come along to LB events and just post up within the forums then this is your perfect opportunity to put names to faces and show you're a real person/biker! Don't miss this!
Book now, there's limited tickets available. We'll post up when stocks are getting low. We can accomodate a good number in the main area and virtually any number upstairs as an over-flow.
As this is a hotel, there's rooms available if you're far from home. £60 for bed and breakfast for a double/twin room or £50 for a single. Go halves with someone else and that's not bad at all.
London Air Ambulance Mystery Auctions
As ever, we will be holding a charity event for our official charity, the London Air Ambulance. Previously we've done a raffle, but this time we'll be running a mystery auction, which means our lovely charity sponsors have donated a load of very cool things, which will be wrapped up and not known to the bidders. Bidders will bid on a box, bearing in mind it's for charity, and then lucky people will get some very cool items!
Fancy turning up at the party with a nice wad of cash and not having a clue what you're going to bid for?? Oh the suspense! Well that's what's going to happen... We've been working really hard getting donations in aid of the marvelous cause, and OH BOY, have we got some amazing prizes for you to bid on. We've got helmets, jackets, trackdays and all sort of other things as auction items. More things are coming all the time. Time to dig-deep!
Charity Sponsors (more to come) for this are:

Our wonderful charity sponsors listed above have donated the following items so that we can raise as much money as possible for the London air Ambulance. All riders are invited, regardless of what you ride, or how you ride it! You don't even have to be an LB member to come along, all nice people are welcome! Find out about the meet below. We hope to see you there next week!

History:

We have a history of regular weekly meets going right back to the early days of LB where we used to meet at the Ace Cafe. From there we changed to The Cubana in Waterloo as a summer meet, but it was all out in the open so come the winter we changed to another venue where we could be inside to keep warm and dry but still meet up! This was at the Brazen Head in Paddington. Over the winter months of 2006, the volunteers of LB started talking about a place for the summer again, so work begun on riding around London looking for a suitable location. The Borough Market was chosen in the end as it ticked all the boxes; central, easy to get to, cover from the elements, area with character, bike friendly, good food & drink! The first BMM night was had on the 4th April 2007 and was a resounding success with over 100 people attending.

For more information, see here:
http://londonbikers.com/events/wednesday-meet/

Photos published here:
http://londonbikers.com/galleries/category/2a1d70a3-f646-4c63-a49e-b8f11abec1a2
