| | A cyclist at the lights close to Liverpool St. station was all set to run a red light. Policeman walking by said ``That's a red light there, sir.'' The cyclist remonstrated a bit. But anyway, good work that copper. |

| That's the City for you, the Met don't bother... but be prepared if they're apply the law to cyclists they might also apply it to motorcyclists.
Passing the initial stop line and entering the cycle sanctuary (green box) could cost you £60 and get you 3 points

| | I've never seen anyone get pulled for being in the green box - or for crossing the stop line.... I've never seen a cyclist getting done for running a red light either though, i must admit that if I'm ever at a crossing and a cyclist runs the light, I always shout out at them (usually the word prick is involved)

| | i see loads of cyclists getting pulled for jumping red lights. i do have a bad habit of sitting in the green box........must try and kick it.... it's just too easy when you get to the front of the queue of traffic to pull into it, especially if trying to make room for any other bikers following behind.

".............get it in black. It's faster...." |

| I think the green box should just be on the left hand side, and quite narrow, if it is only for cyclists.
I get really p*ssed off when Im sitting at the front of the lights, and some cyclist cuts across from my left and sits in front of me... side on!
What the hell is that all about, he's going to hold me up, AND any car that is behind me.
I think the 'cyclist' zone at the front, should be limited to the left hand lane at most!, this will leave the other lane for people to progress as quickly as they want. (without waiting for someone to wobble and weave in front of them!)
Safer for all I think?

| Had a few chats with the two wheeled rozzers about going into the green box. Think most use their discretion, maybe have a word. One or two will give you a ticket though.
I try not to go into the area unless for safety.

Unfortunately the roads are policed by cameras, and they don't care.
