Lots of my mates are going over to Thailand and coming back with Thai girls who they subsequently marry. Some of them are very pretty and love small lap dogs. We are invited to another of these weddings tomorrow but are running out of idead for presents.

Question, are these girls suitable, can they cook? Can Pad Thai sustain a long term relationship? Should we get Delia`s latest cookbook as a nuptial gift or just ask for a two girl massage from the brides sisters?

Feel my shockwaves!!

Any of the above sound good.

Could he/she cook, stick to the point, we`re sick of our threads getting diluted, but you`re lovely and we`d forgive anything from you! xxx

Thread Hijack Alert !!!! LOL

Am watching a film called Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at the mo, on ITV3 - oh - sorry - whoops - thread was about whether lady boys can cook, I mean whether Thai Brides can cook

Yes, I have heard that he / she could cook a mean Jamie Olivers Sherry Trifle, does that count?

Indeed Jetstream, I would explore all the present giving options you can, there are many cookbooks on the market these days, to suit all tastes and styles.

Thanks for staying on track Hels, this is a serious issue and we value your considered advice.

Can a marriage survive on Sherry Trifle alone?

True, our friend Trish took a pint glass of trifle upstairs, poured it on her husband and he only woke up when she`d finished licking it off and belched loudly.
