good shout nic, its good to know where you are gonna be hassled and made late for work. with ANPR on police vehicles these spot checks should not be necessary. you carry on being nice mate, its nice to be nice.

They rarely are random checks. They nearly always use APNR to tell them who to pull over.

They had the very same on Greenford Road near Greenford station today on my way home from work, I didn't warn anyone as if anyone gets caught for no insurance, tax or MOT then that's their own fault and I'm not gonna warn them so they get away with it, I'm legit so no problems driving past and no hold up, if you are worried about being inconvenienced then make sure you all legit an you'll have no issues ;)

They aren't usually spot check, you get pulled if you triggered the ANPR that is usually on the road before, when I drove past they had at least 6 cars pulled, that's 6 people in that short space of time who were missing insurance, tax or an MOT, hope they were inconvenienced as much as possible.
