Friday 21st December!

For the third year running, we're excited to announce the londonbikers.com Christmas party and Awards ceremony! All are welcome, i.e. members, readers, retailers, coppers and paramedics alike :) Come and party with us!

The Lowdown

For the past three years we've put on a Christmas party to celebrate all the good things that we've done over the last year. All the rides, bike meets, charity events, trackdays, trips aboard, the funny crashes and all the other great times. This year we've got a great venue and invite you to join us for a night of food, drinks a DJ and good old-fashioned party. We'll be supporting our official charity, the London Air Ambulance as well.

The party will run from 7.30pm until 1am on the 21st of December. There's parking out back if need be, but please don't drink and drive. There's a tube-station two minutes straight walk away and cabs will have no problem finding the venue.

Awards Ceremony

To celebrate our individual achievements and amusing failures, each year we run the LB Awards, where traditionally members of the community have been nominated for awards in different categories, i.e. Best Ride, Best Crash, Best Motorcycle, etc. The 2007 Awards will be more focused than previous years. Above all it's a reason to have a good laugh and celebrate our riding over the last year. Come to the party and see if you've won an LB Award!

Mystery Charity Auction

Our official charity, the London Air Ambulance does bikers in London and the surrounding counties an amazing service. They need our support now more than ever with rising operational costs. We will be running a mystery auction where people can bid for mystery items from the list at the bottom of this page. All items have been graciously donated by our wonderful charity sponsors on the right. All proceeeds will go to LAA, so please dig-deep, you never know if you or someone you know might need the LAA's services. If they don't cover their costs, they don't fly, they're not Government funded!

Fancy turning up at the party with a nice wad of cash and not having a clue what you're going to bid for?? Oh the suspense! Well that's what's going to happen... We've been working really hard getting donations in aid of the marvelous cause, and OH BOY, have we got some amazing prizes for you to bid on. Read on.

Tickets!

Tickets to this once-in-a-year party are £15 each. Friends welcome. Buy your tickets via PayPal (no account required) by clicking the big button below. Tickets will be sent to you by post. Please supply your username so we know who's coming, we don don't know everyones real names!

Venue

We've chosen the very plush and comfortable Brook Green Hotel as venue for this years party. We'll be using the basement, accessible from the street. The basement has its own bar, sound-system and air-conditioning. It holds around 100 people though there is also the whole of the ground-floor pub as well should more people decide to party with us.

It's located on Shepherds Bush Road, a straight two minute walk from Hammersmith Broadway (London Underground) via multiple lines and also the A4. It's further west than we normally would go, but that's no bad thing. There won't be the mad rush of the city and wherever you live in London, it's only a 20 minute ride on the tube (probably).

Being a hotel, rooms are available to book now for those who might find it far to go for a single evening or the like. It's £60 a night on Fridays for a double or twin room, £50 for a single. Both include breakfast. Share with someone else to make it cheap as chips!

Charity Efforts!

Help us raise as much money for the London Air Ambulance during the party as possible! Do something fun that will raise money, and announce it in the forums so as many people as possible know about it.

Terry & Ben's Fancy-Dress Fund-Raiser

Terry-Moto and Ben632664 will be attending the party in fancy-dress to raise money for the LAA. Initially it started out as they would dress up as Elfs or Reindeer, but due to interest, they're raising the bar and will now be dress up as Little Britain characters. Nice one boys! People are typically donating between £10 and £20 each (i.e. Ben and then Terry). If you want to see them dress up in sillier things, then please continue to donate. You can now donate via PayPal below (no account needed). Forum discussion for this fund-raiser
