SBK08 : Virtual Reality or just Reality
It’s Sunday morning and the glint from the sun outside bursts through your motorhome curtains. It’s a lovely sunny day, with a gentle breeze, perfect weather for popping down to the coast, but you can’t think about that today, no you’ve got work to do. You roll out of bed, and head for the shower. Half an hour later after a light high protein breakfast, you are pulling on your leathers and following your strict routine to make sure that you don’t incur any bad luck through the morning warm up.

MotoGP The Season So Far - Pulling No Punches
03 June 2008 | 7 Comments
The say that sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind, well we’ve reached the 1/3 stage in the MotoGP championship and with silly season just around the corner, I’m going to be brutally honest in my report of the season so far and give my opinion on possible rumours and possible team changes for 2009. Yes I know we’re only six races in but believe me, there are already backstage murmurs of rider changes and contract negotiations taking place in the paddock.

Return of the King : Valentino Rossi
22 May 2008 | 6 Comments
No wins in eight races, it doesn’t sound like a lot, well unless your name is Valentino Rossi. It’s fair to say in true Hollywood style that the King has returned and he’s looking just a devastating as he’s ever been. The last two and a half years of Rossi’s life would make the perfect script for any Hollywood wannabe writers, with a slice of despair, a touch of joy, a huge slab of disbelief, not forgetting sheer ecstasy and a heavy dose of pain to pad out the script. Then just when you think your hero is down and out and you have the bad guy about the make the telling blow, there is the classic Hollywood happy ending as our hero rises from the jaws of defeat, to ride off into the sunset and live another day.

World Supersport : Can it get any better than this?
29 April 2008
World Supersport has on numerous occasions provided the world with jaw dropping, edge of the seat racing and Sunday proved to be no exception. For the fans that travelled to the cathedral of speed at Assen in Holland they witnessed one of the truly great World Supersport races. Johnny Rea managed to grab the whole shot from his grid slot of second place leading the field into Assen’s tight first corner, which becomes even tighter when you’re trying to fit thirty six supersport machines through it. The Supersport class has affectionately been named the class of the axe murderers. This name has mainly come about because the class is made up of a mixture of up and coming stars and veterans who are trying to make a comeback, because of this no quarter is given between anyone, not even team mates, it’s quite normal to see team mates clashing fairings and elbows in an attempt to battle their way through to the front of this highly competitive field.

A Star is Born : Jorge Lorenzo
21 April 2008 | 1 Comment
Every once in a while there is a buzz in the paddock, people hear murmurs and chit chat in the garages that someone has seen the next great champion, someone who will take the sport to the next level, who will be the next golden boy of the crowd and who will leave his opponents crushed and defeated. Obviously like all rumours, most of the time they prove to be inaccurate and untrue, but every now and again someone will step up to the hype and prove that people’s belief in them is well founded.

MotoGP's Latest Rivalry
31 March 2008
Over the last few seasons the premier class of Motorbike racing has all been a bit too nice. What it has been missing is a thrilling and gripping rivalry, something that can add that special ingredient that adds a little extra spice to the event. It happens in football when Arsenal play Manchester United, or in Rugby when London Wasp’s play Bath. A good rivalry is something that has really been missing from MotoGP for a while now. A good rivalry can turn a good race into a great race.

Chasing the Black
29 October 2007 | 7 Comments
It was a tip off from a friend of a friend, which gave me the breakthrough I was looking for. I have been searching unsuccessfully for some time now for the perfect road-trip and, after quite a few previous trips to Croatia for work; I thought I might be onto something. Normally I’d settle for a car or catch the bus, but a random meeting at a mates wedding, hooked me up with a bike shop in Zadar where they had real bikes available for hire and not just 50cc & 125cc scooters.
