SBK08 : Virtual Reality or just Reality
It’s Sunday morning and the glint from the sun outside bursts through your motorhome curtains. It’s a lovely sunny day, with a gentle breeze, perfect weather for popping down to the coast, but you can’t think about that today, no you’ve got work to do. You roll out of bed, and head for the shower. Half an hour later after a light high protein breakfast, you are pulling on your leathers and following your strict routine to make sure that you don’t incur any bad luck through the morning warm up.

World Superbike Review : Round 5 Monza
13 May 2008
Round five of the World Superbike Championship took the teams to Monza, a high speed challenging circuit which is set in one of the most beautiful settings on the World Superbike calendar. The circuit is steeped in history and will always hold a special place for the passionate fans of all forms of motorsport. However none of the riders this weekend were interested in the circuits existing history. The weekend started how the last meeting in Assen finished with Troy Bayliss stamping his authority over the field with a blisteringly quick superpole lap to please the passionate Italian fans that had turned out to cheer on their heroes. Troy would have been delighted to see that his only main championship rival lining up along side him for the two superbike races was Carlos Checa in forth.

Simply Baylisstic
30 April 2008 | 2 Comments
I’d like to take some time to write about one of the greatest riders of the modern era. Troy Bayliss has proved to the world that your talent has nothing to do with your age. Bayliss has ridden against and beaten the best and he’s done it all with a cheeky smile and razor sharp wit. Troy, who is now 39 years old has decided to retire after the season is complete, hopefully with a third World Superbike title to his name, which he will have taken on three different generations of Ducati.

Biaggi’s Back and Loving It!
04 August 2007
Last September it was announced that Max Biaggi would be replacing Troy Corser and riding for Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra in the World Superbike series, who would have thought it! Nearly a year on, Max is second in the series and just 43 points behind series leader James Toseland, and looking like a strong contender for the title. Max’s performance has been consistent from the start of the season with eleven podium places, including two race wins, four second places, five third places and three fastest laps.

The People's Champion; Chris Walker
12 August 2006
Chris Walker is probably one of the most popular and loved Superbike riders to emerge from the UK. Having spent more than 10 years racing his heart out in BSB, WSB and GP, Chris has been an inspiration to most of the young talent to come from this country. LB’s Foxy managed to catch up with Walker the ‘Stalker’ at World Superbikes at Brands Hatch last weekend to chat about his past, present and future.

The fifth round of the World Superbike Championship took place at Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire. LB attended the weekends practice sessions and racing to provide in depth coverage. The Championship was readying itself for the first of the British rounds after the cancellation of the final round in South Africa. Silverstone now becomes the 5th of 12, not the original 13. Also included in this visit to Silverstone was an up close and personal interview with former World Superbike Champion and Winston Ten Kate rider James Toseland.

James Toseland, An Interview With A Champion
27 May 2006
World Superbike rider James Toseland is young, talented, extremely charming and the hottest British racer this country has seen since Carl Foggerty. Having won numerous different titles on his way up to WSB and then going on to become the world champion in 2004 at the tender age of 23, James has a very bright future ahead of him. LB’s Foxy went to Silverstone for the British round of WSB to meet James, have a chat about this season’s racing with the Winston Ten Kate Team and find out what his plans for the future are.
