Making History : Scott Redding
26 June 2008
A year is a long time in racing, but 35 years is an eternity. It has been 35 years since a home grown talent has managed to win the British Grand Prix, thankfully that is a statistic that can now be put to bed. In a display that has won many plaudits from some of the top riders in the sport today, Redding was cool, calm and decisive in every move he made, through a tough and extremely gusty race, and ultimately providing the 90,000 strong crowd with the perfect cure for the harsh weekend weather and renewing our hope that we may have a champion in the series again one day.

NW200 - 2008, My Roadtrip Diary
17 June 2008
48 hours ago I was at home contemplating cleaning my bike before a track-day. That was before londonbikers.com invited me to work along side the 2008 NW200 Ducati Team in a bid to promote the NW200 week events racing, and to get more people riding to the NothWest 200's 80th Anniversary next year in 2009. Each year the NW200's turn out gets bigger, but they want more families, more after race events, and most of all even more bikers to ride there and experience the high voltage atmosphere and the fabulous road racing.

NW200 – The Ride, Race & Total Experience
05 June 2008
And So It All Began… The alarm on the clock sounded, and the display read 3:30am. It was that time to get up and ride the 287 miles to Holyhead, and all by 8:45am. I knew then that I was going to be on my way to the North West 200 Road-Race in Northern Ireland, man was I excited!! I met Clinton at the petrol station by the Ace Cafe; we filled up the bikes and set off at 4:30am on the long ride towards Wales. The TomTom told us we should arrive at 8:49am, so Clinton and I had to make up some time, the roads were clear, we opened our throttles, and why not!

BSB: Brands Hatch R1 Rescheduled - Weekend Report
17 May 2008
Ok so here’s the thing. Instead of the usual “he led into the first corner, then fell off, this other guy went quicker and won” kinda thing, which can be a little dull and is certainly done better by others, here’s the weekend from our point of view… which is usually through a Canon 1D but we’ll try and spare you the techno babble about photography (Lord don’t get me started on that) and just give you all an idea what goes on.

BSB: Round 3 - Oulton Park Event Roundup
10 May 2008
British Superbikes Round 3 was held at the scenic 2.7 mile Cheshire circuit of Oulton Park last week, under yet another grey, leaden sky. This was despite the rest of the country appearing to be in store for a fine Bank Holiday weekend, which didn’t do much for our spirits as we climbed into our sleeping bags, locked the car doors and hoped for sunshine when we woke on Saturday morning.

BSB: Thruxton, Round 2 - Fast As You Like!
23 April 2008
Round two of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship took place at Thruxton in Hampshire last weekend with more than the usual sense of excitement and urgency than normal because it would be the first meeting of the season to see genuine racing due to the snowed off Brands Hatch round a fortnight ago.

Biaggi’s Back and Loving It!
04 August 2007
Last September it was announced that Max Biaggi would be replacing Troy Corser and riding for Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra in the World Superbike series, who would have thought it! Nearly a year on, Max is second in the series and just 43 points behind series leader James Toseland, and looking like a strong contender for the title. Max’s performance has been consistent from the start of the season with eleven podium places, including two race wins, four second places, five third places and three fastest laps.

Bennetts British Superbikes - Round One at Brands Hatch
14 April 2007
The first round of British Superbikes kicked off to a cracking start last Easter weekend at Kent’s Brand Hatch Circuit. The weather forecast was hot and sunny for the Bank Holiday break, but no one could have predicted the heat from the competition that was going to be out on track with Bike Animal Honda’s rookie Leon Camier, and HM Plant Honda’s Jonathan Rea racing hard, the two 20 year olds were really showing the crowds what they are made of. Airwaves Ducati rider and BSB veteran Gregorio Lavilla took the double, but not without a fight and numerous crashes during the races to really mess up the pace.

There's Nothing Virgin About Tommy Hill
11 October 2006
British Superbike Virgin Mobile Yamaha rider Tommy Hill has already accomplished a lot in his 21 years on this planet. He started out competing in motocross at just aged six and survived a near fatal MX crash at 14; nothing seems to stand in head-strong Tommy’s way.

What's All The Hype About Fuel Cell? Rizla Suzuki Educate Us...
21 September 2006
MotoGP technology in BSB, surely not! Well that’s what seems to be going on. We heard about the Fuel Cell bikes that Rizla Suzuki has been using in BSB. There seem to be many benefits to using Fuel Cell, from weight distribution, better handling, confining the components to a more centralised smaller space, holding more fuel to just saving money. Intrigued by the concept behind it, we went to Croft Circuit to meet Rizla Suzuki’s Crew Chief and Technical Development Manager Stewart Johnstone. We just simply had to go and find out more…

Jason DiSalvo
01 September 2006
New Yorker Jason DiSalvo is just 22, and is already one of the most popular and talented racers in the AMA Superbike and Formula Xtreme paddock. Having started riding motorcycles at the age of two and taking part in his first dirt track race at aged four, Jason quickly found his way into road racing and made his first UK debut in 1999, aged 15 on a 125 GP bike at Oulton Park. DiSalvo has been credited as being the youngest American to ever compete in World 125cc and 250cc GP championships.

LB’s Foxy managed to catch up with Walker the ‘Stalker’ at World Superbikes at Brands Hatch last weekend to chat about his past, present and future.
