Lurking in the shadows of the familiar names of Arai and Shoei, Nolan X-lite has quietly protected the heads of both the 250GP and MotoGP world champions. X-lite have been producing high quality and innovative helmets for some time, while working in the retail end of the industry I became aware of the X-lite X901. I don’t think we sold one, this wasn’t because it is a bad helmet, it is however slightly odd looking thanks to its innovative aerodynamic design. Although the X901 was exceptionally stable at speed and light we all tend to stick to what we know and so the big two continued to dominate.
Which helmet to choose? Now there’s a good question… Whether you’re new to biking, or a veteran to the game, this is something that we must all take seriously, as safety is not a laughing matter!
