Yamaha R-Series - 10th Anniversary
15 March 2008
This year Yamaha celebrates ten years of the R-Series – that’s a decade of supersport quality. When they unleashed the very first YZF-R1 in 1998 the bike didn’t just rewrite the rules for supersport performance, it tore them up and wrote its own.

The 2007 LB Christmas Party - Awards & Charity Auction
16 January 2008
The evening of Friday 21st December 2007 saw the third Londonbikers.com Christmas Party go off with a massive bang. This year’s party was held at the Brookgreen Hotel, Hammersmith in London, seeing around 100 people turn up and enjoy the Christmas festivities. This year’s party not only included the annual Londonbikers community member awards, but also a Charity Auction in aid of the HEMS London Air Ambulance, where a very generous crowd spent an approximately, very charitable £2,500 in total.

Flyby & the BCW Charity Walk
04 October 2007
I put my name down last year for the Aviva walk for Breakthrough to Breast Cancer, but unfortunately was not able to take part due to other commitments at the time. I was totally gutted, especially as the most I got to do was turn up at the very end of the closing ceremony and pick my girlfriend up. I remember the atmosphere felt strange, a kind of satisfied sombreness! I couldn’t really understand it all, and as I listened to all the recollections of the weekend, I felt really disappointed that I wasn’t a part of it.

The Aviva Breakthrough Walk with Sincere
01 October 2007
For the second year running I was over the moon to be a member of londonbikers.com and act as a safety marshal for the Aviva Charity Walk London to Breakthrough Breast Cancer walk. The event is a sponsored walk for family, friends and victims of breast cancer to raise money for the breast cancer charity. On Saturday the 8th September the walkers were set the challenge of walking 44km through London from Richmond Park to Regents Park. The 44k walk represented the amount of people i.e. 44000 who are diagnosed with breast cancer in a year.

Londonbikers & the Aviva Breakthrough to Breast Cancer Walk
24 September 2007
Londonbikers.com and the Aviva Breakthrough for Breast Cancer Charity have just seen their second year working together on the annual Breakthrough for Aviva Breast Cancer charity walk through West and Central London. For the second year running, the members of LB did themselves and others proud by donating their weekend’s time this brilliant cause, the Aviva Breakthrough for Cancer charity walk. The 44 kilometres walk saw thousands of walkers’ trek from Richmond Park to Battersea Park, then onto Regents Park, via a very twisty route through West and East London. The event had been co-ordinated and professionally organised by Barro & M9Performance (forum members). The day had the full support of its members, with more members signing up than were needed. By 6am at Richmond Park, it was clear all would have a brilliant day.

The 2006 Ace Café Christmas Hospital Toy Run
19 December 2006
This time of year, we all get so busy we sometimes forget about those less fortunate then ourselves. Especially, with Christmas being a time for children, about those children stuck in hospital. The annual Toy run from the Ace Café in London redresses that, it is one of the few events that I would dare to say are a must do for any biker, if you had a tick list of things you should do as a biker this should be near the top.

The 2006 Cannonball Bike Run, Mick Doohan's Account
09 September 2006
As I was at Nurburgring the previous weekend i was already halfway there. I left the Ring at 12:30pm and headed off on the 185 mile journey, the skies were grey and the trip uneventful until I got into Wurzburg and decided to fill up which would mean a full tank for the start of the "rally" where I bumped into Rolf an entrant from last year on his same bike, V-Max. The hotel is at the top of a big hill overlooking the town below where we can watch the bikes arriving. On arrival all of the foreign contingent have arrived, 4 Danes, 4 Finns, 1 Belgian and 1 Dutch, the rest of the riders all hailing from England and Wales and Scotland.

Weekend Members Ride to St Omer, France.
05 September 2006
Our very own Londonbikers posse hit the roads of France. The quiet town of St Omer, which is bout 25 miles from Calais, was the destination for the weekend of fun, frolics and ride-outs. Their meeting point was at a service station on the M20 in Maidstone, Kent, where they then made their way towards Folkestone and the Euro Tunnel. The storey begins, LB’s ThaNutz documented the weekends up’s, down’s, laughs and missions…

Londonbikers.com Memorial Ride for Ali – 30th July, 2006
08 August 2006
Londonbiker member Ali (aka Full Throttle) was unfortunately killed in a tragic bike accident on March 1st, 2006. Many of the members from LB wanted to have some sort of permanent memorial to him and forum member Paivi had the idea of a tree planted for him near the Regents’ Park Mosque where Ali’s family worshipped.

Suspension Setup Demystified
18 May 2006
Having the suspension on your bike set-up as best it can be for the type of riding you do is the most important modification anybody can make if they intend on getting the most from their bike. The best part of this modification is that it doesn't cost a penny.
