04 March 2010
It is just over a month until the start of the new British Superbike Championship and the boards across the internet are awash with the hot news from the Championship - not just because Swan Honda finally unveiled that their second rider in this years campaign would be 2009 runner-up James Ellison. No, the news was centred firmly around the intriguing news that there will be a new points scoring system used in the championship in 2010.

BSB 2009 Review DVD
17 November 2009
When I was asked if I would like to review this seasons BSB DVD I jumped at the chance. Being a huge fan of anything motorsport related especially the 2 wheeled variety I was definitely looking forward to it. So I enrolled a friend along to share in the enjoyment. The only problem we found was finding the 5 hours needed to watch the whole thing!!

British Superbike Championship Review 2009
14 November 2009
The 2009 British Superbike Championship was launched under the banner of 'new beginnings'. With the mass exodus of British riders to World Superbike at the end of the 2008 campaign, the championship was faced with the prospect of a close and tough battle between the young, fast emerging British talent and the influx of world renowned talent from the MotoGP and WSB championships. What we were, in fact, treated to was a dominating and crushing Championship onslaught by Leon Camier and the Airwaves Yamaha team.

05 September 2009
It has been a whirlwind ten months for Coventry’s own Cal Crutchlow, the 23 year old finished up the British Superbike season in scintillating style as he managed to overhaul championship rival Tom Sykes for third place in the championship at the final round at Brands Hatch, before parting ways with his colleagues and the British race fans as he embarked on a new challenge on the world stage.

The Power of Dreams or Nightmares?
01 July 2009
If you mention motorcycles then one of the first manufacturers that you would be likely to mention is Honda. The company has a great prestige in the category stretching right back to the 1960’s when Honda first competed in the Isle of Man TT. However, over recent years the dreams have turned to nightmares as Honda uncharacteristically appears to have been caught out by a combination of the global economic situation and the onslaught of mechanical development from their various competitors.

British Superbikes: Knockhill Preview
08 August 2008
The eighth round of the British Superbike championship travels up north to Fife in Scotland for this years round at Knockhill. The season so far has seen Shane Bryne confidently dominate, but the previous round at Oulton Park saw a new winner for the first time out in the perpetually smiling Yorkshireman and Rizla Suzuki mounted Tom Sykes. With the paddock still feeling the effects of Craig Jones' tragic death, many riders will be honouring the memory of the brilliantly entertaining rider with personal mementos in his respect. Cal Crutchlow will be wearing a replica of Jones' helmet, whereas Dean Ellison of Co-ordit Yamaha will drop a digit from his usual number to match the 18 of the Parkalgar Honda rider.

NW200 - 2008, My Roadtrip Diary
17 June 2008
48 hours ago I was at home contemplating cleaning my bike before a track-day. That was before londonbikers.com invited me to work along side the 2008 NW200 Ducati Team in a bid to promote the NW200 week events racing, and to get more people riding to the NothWest 200's 80th Anniversary next year in 2009. Each year the NW200's turn out gets bigger, but they want more families, more after race events, and most of all even more bikers to ride there and experience the high voltage atmosphere and the fabulous road racing.

NW200 – The Ride, Race & Total Experience
05 June 2008
And So It All Began… The alarm on the clock sounded, and the display read 3:30am. It was that time to get up and ride the 287 miles to Holyhead, and all by 8:45am. I knew then that I was going to be on my way to the North West 200 Road-Race in Northern Ireland, man was I excited!! I met Clinton at the petrol station by the Ace Cafe; we filled up the bikes and set off at 4:30am on the long ride towards Wales. The TomTom told us we should arrive at 8:49am, so Clinton and I had to make up some time, the roads were clear, we opened our throttles, and why not!

BSB: Brands Hatch R1 Rescheduled - Weekend Report
17 May 2008
Ok so here’s the thing. Instead of the usual “he led into the first corner, then fell off, this other guy went quicker and won” kinda thing, which can be a little dull and is certainly done better by others, here’s the weekend from our point of view… which is usually through a Canon 1D but we’ll try and spare you the techno babble about photography (Lord don’t get me started on that) and just give you all an idea what goes on.

BSB: Round 3 - Oulton Park Event Roundup
10 May 2008
British Superbikes Round 3 was held at the scenic 2.7 mile Cheshire circuit of Oulton Park last week, under yet another grey, leaden sky. This was despite the rest of the country appearing to be in store for a fine Bank Holiday weekend, which didn’t do much for our spirits as we climbed into our sleeping bags, locked the car doors and hoped for sunshine when we woke on Saturday morning.

BSB: Thruxton, Round 2 - Fast As You Like!
23 April 2008
Round two of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship took place at Thruxton in Hampshire last weekend with more than the usual sense of excitement and urgency than normal because it would be the first meeting of the season to see genuine racing due to the snowed off Brands Hatch round a fortnight ago.

Flatout's Day With Virgin Media Optoma Loans Yamaha
25 May 2007
The year was 1976, the month was November and the date was the 9th; the birthday was Flatout's... Thirty years on and a party was thrown to celebrate. The guests arrived at the venue, as did half of londonbikers.com armed with a gift contributed by members past and present. The gift, a VIP day with the Virgin Media Optoma Loans Yamaha BSB race team... So, I booked the day Sunday the 20th at Snetterton and accompanied by my gorgeous fair maiden we made our way to the travel lodge in Cringleford some 16 miles away to avoid a long drive and an early start in the morning.

Bennetts British Superbikes - Round One at Brands Hatch
14 April 2007
The first round of British Superbikes kicked off to a cracking start last Easter weekend at Kent’s Brand Hatch Circuit. The weather forecast was hot and sunny for the Bank Holiday break, but no one could have predicted the heat from the competition that was going to be out on track with Bike Animal Honda’s rookie Leon Camier, and HM Plant Honda’s Jonathan Rea racing hard, the two 20 year olds were really showing the crowds what they are made of. Airwaves Ducati rider and BSB veteran Gregorio Lavilla took the double, but not without a fight and numerous crashes during the races to really mess up the pace.

There's Nothing Virgin About Tommy Hill
11 October 2006
British Superbike Virgin Mobile Yamaha rider Tommy Hill has already accomplished a lot in his 21 years on this planet. He started out competing in motocross at just aged six and survived a near fatal MX crash at 14; nothing seems to stand in head-strong Tommy’s way.
