A Tribute to Craig Jones : 1985 - 2008

In the early hours of Monday morning the world of motorsport went into mourning when the news broke that one of the brightest young talents on the world scene had succumbed to the injuries that he suffered in the tragic accident on Sunday at Brands Hatch. Craig Jones or Jonesy, as he was affectionately known to the fans was a down to earth, hard working, genuine lad, who was loved by other members of the paddock as much as he was by the racing fans around the world. With the level of competition at an all time high at the moment in the paddock, riders don’t always feel comfortable mingling with each other, however Craig was a rider that the paddock felt comfortable to talk to over a cuppa. World and National champions all felt at ease with Jonesy in his motorhome in the friendly and relaxed environment.

Troy Corser - Super Corser!

With two World Championships, an AMA Series title and an Australian Superbike title under his belt, Troy Corser is already a racing legend. Since he started racing full time in WSB in 1995, he has started 295 races, had 33 wins, finished on the podium 122 times, got no less than 42 pole positions and 43 fastest laps. Still in Superbikes and in his second season with the Yamaha Motor Italia Team, there has been much speculation in the motorcycle press about who Troy will ride with next season. World Superbike : Brands Hatch Preview

The World Superbike paddock rolls into the UK for the first of the two UK rounds this weekend at Brands Hatch in what is scheduled to be a mouth watering thrill ride for the fans. Firstly it’s a chance for the UK fans to see Troy Bayliss, one of the paddocks great stars for the last time around the Brand Hatch circuit. He has been a fantastic ambassador for the sport over the years, taking two world superbike titles, 20+ pole positions, 40+ wins, and not forgetting that fantastic win in the final race of the 990cc MotoGP era.

BSB: Brands Hatch R1 Rescheduled - Weekend Report

Ok so here’s the thing. Instead of the usual “he led into the first corner, then fell off, this other guy went quicker and won” kinda thing, which can be a little dull and is certainly done better by others, here’s the weekend from our point of view… which is usually through a Canon 1D but we’ll try and spare you the techno babble about photography (Lord don’t get me started on that) and just give you all an idea what goes on.

The Turbulent Season of Brendan Roberts

Since we last spoke to 22 year old Australian Brendan Robert’s, a lot has changed in his racing life. Just thirteen months ago, Brendan was leading the BSB Metzeler National Superstock Series on his Gixxer and had just taken his fifth win of the season, broke a lap record and got pole position at Oulton Park. He went on the secure the championship with 216 points, six race wins and eight podium finishes, not bad for a seasons racing eh!

Biaggi’s Back and Loving It!

Last September it was announced that Max Biaggi would be replacing Troy Corser and riding for Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra in the World Superbike series, who would have thought it! Nearly a year on, Max is second in the series and just 43 points behind series leader James Toseland, and looking like a strong contender for the title. Max’s performance has been consistent from the start of the season with eleven podium places, including two race wins, four second places, five third places and three fastest laps.

Bennetts British Superbikes - Round One at Brands Hatch

The first round of British Superbikes kicked off to a cracking start last Easter weekend at Kent’s Brand Hatch Circuit. The weather forecast was hot and sunny for the Bank Holiday break, but no one could have predicted the heat from the competition that was going to be out on track with Bike Animal Honda’s rookie Leon Camier, and HM Plant Honda’s Jonathan Rea racing hard, the two 20 year olds were really showing the crowds what they are made of. Airwaves Ducati rider and BSB veteran Gregorio Lavilla took the double, but not without a fight and numerous crashes during the races to really mess up the pace.

The People's Champion; Chris Walker

Having spent more than 10 years racing his heart out in BSB, WSB and GP, Chris has been an inspiration to most of the young talent to come from this country. An Interview with Troy Bayliss

Championship leader, former WSB and BSB champion Troy Bayliss has just returned to World Superbikes this season after a very testing three years away riding in MotoGP. The 37 year old Australian racer’s return with Xerox Ducati was greatly anticipated by his fans (including LB’s Foxy), and thousands of them turned up last weekend at Brands Hatch to see him kick some serious butt.

World Superbikes at Brands Hatch

WSB at Brands Hatch is the biggest motorcycle event in the London area every year, pulling in 108,000 spectators this weekend for round eight of the championship. LB was in attendance for every day of the event, partnering up with our Technical Safety Partners, Adrenalin X at the circuit.
