We at LB believe that to ride a bike is one of the best ways to express our freedom and lifestyle. Being on a bike is a pleasure that rarely someone can describe with words to a non-biker. We all love our bikes and love to ride them. Isn’t that right?

Now, how many of us can say that we’ve really felt the power of our bikes without all the major concerns of riding on the road, like car drivers, pot holes, oncoming traffic, debris, diesel etc? A track-day is first and foremost an opportunity for you, the rider, to explore and enjoy riding your bike on a race circuit, the very same one where many world champions race their bikes, only that it’s not a race so you don’t have to push it. It’s all about learning! Learn your bike, improve your braking technique, your body position, feel the torque, the power, exchange skills and have fun with friends. With this in mind, LB has joined forces with one of the best European track-day organisers, Focus Events.

Focused Events is the UK's number 1 Track-day Operator. Established in 1995 by Kevin Healy, a retired national racer, the business is based upon a SAFETY 1st and financial gain 2nd basis. They organise quality events that are also the best value for money and track time that can be had anywhere in the UK. The decisive quality Focused Events offers to us is the ‘focus’ on safety first. We ourselves have been on track with them and can say that they really are there to care for us. Our fellow member, Brian (B) is one of their instructors and can vouch for this.

Focused Events organise motorcycle track-days in the UK and Europe. Using only the most prestigious ACU and FIM approved circuits their events range from single UK track-days to three day off-road and now 4 day track events abroad. They always have on board a full support service inclusive of Tyre Support and sales, Products, Suspension service and advice, Photographic services and on bike-video service and a fleet of 2005 "Virgin R6 Cup" hire bikes.

Safety being a must for Focused Events, all events are run with a full medical support system in place, with a fully equipped medical centre available at the circuit and at least two ambulances on hand with doctors and paramedics always on immediate standby... just in case. This has proved to be a growing strength for them as more and more customers return for the value-for-money and safety-first attitude with no smart money-grabbing gimmicks!

LB has negotiated a series of discounts and privileges for its members with the Focused Events team. We will have a garage reserved for our members at Brands Hatch or any other circuit we decide to go to (minimum of 10 riders). LB will be there with you to document your day having fun with your bike and friends.

Focused Events will give us £10 discount on the price of the track-day each we do together (minimum of 10 riders). The first-time riders will be entitled to the following package:

• 5% or £10 off the day – which ever is the greater.
• £7.50 off a CD with their photographs on it.
• £15 off the use of one of their hire bikes.
• £5 off level 1 rider instruction.
• 5% off their second track-day if they book it at their first event.

All “first time” bookings will be required to wear a printed yellow high-vis jacket which is £5 and they get to keep it – this is for safety/insurance reasons so we – and other riders – can keep an eye on them. They will naturally be booked into the novice group.
